Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides professional social work services to children, adolescents, and adults aimed at maintaining or restoring their highest level of functioning.
- Delivers general and specialized social work interventions, encompassing substance abuse, counseling for victims of sexual abuse, and support for traumatized children.
- Conducts comprehensive initial assessments for all new patients, conducts interviews and evaluations of patients and their families, and subsequently diagnoses for treatment.
- Identifies factors that may impede optimal treatment outcomes and devises patient treatment plans.
- Implements and monitors treatment plans, documenting progress through weekly progress notes to ensure continuity of care.
- Offers therapeutic services to aid patients and families in addressing presenting symptoms and challenges.
- Collaborates within interdisciplinary treatment teams to optimize patient care.
- Prepares reports and other pertinent documents related to patient care.
- Adheres to company and departmental policies and procedures, including quality assurance, safety protocols, environmental regulations, and infection control measures, and complies with accreditation and regulatory agency requirements.
- Facilitates specialized in-service training sessions on relevant topics for various audiences.
- Actively participates in staff development programs, departmental conferences, and administrative meetings.
- Provides individual and group counseling sessions for clients as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
To be eligible as a Mental Health Therapist at Serving Children and Reaching Families, LLC, applicant must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work or a Human Service-related field from an accredited college or university;

Additional Information:
- Applicant must successfully pass all Pre-Employment Screenings including but not limited to a Federal II Background check, a Local Background check, a Pre-Employment Drug Screening, and applicable licenses and insurances;
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Insurance and Registration;
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) or French-Creole is a plus!
