What we are seeking: We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team of health care professionals. The ideal candidate will be passionate about using rehabilitative services and physical activity to help our patients regain function. A successful candidate must have a strong record of success working with individuals who have suffered injuries, illnesses and/or disabilities. He or she must also be willing to work as part of a team to maintain superior care and patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy to patients in an outpatient office setting.
- Make recommendations for patient treatment based on evaluations of their physical/ neurological weaknesses and capabilities.
- Work with orthopedic specialists and neurosurgeons.
- Communicate with family members and caregivers.
- Evaluate patients' physical and mental abilities
- Develop treatment plans to help patients improve their ability to perform daily tasks
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Help patients improve their range of motion, strength, and coordination
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment
- Work with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in Occupational therapy
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
